My life centers entirely around my family. I have seven children and twenty-one grandchildren. They all live in the OP, RF, and FP area. How lucky can one guy be? We have dinner together at my condo practically every Sunday, (See November 2005 issue Chicago Parent Magazine, http://www.chicagoparent.com/ "Dinner for 39"). My wife is an excellent Italian cook and my daughters and daughters-in-law are excellent bakers. My sons, sons-in-law and myself are the clean-up! It doesn't get much better than that!
This area is a wonderful place to raise a family. I have lived in three homes in OP:
- The first a three bedroom which soon got too small for my growing family
- The second was a six bedroom home that was very accommodating to my family as well as in-laws (both sides!)
- Now, my wife and I live in a 3 bedroom condo and just love it
Talk about understanding your needs!
As for community life, I was active in coaching athletics and school issues when the children were young. As they grew, so did my commitment to the community and the people in it. Currently, I am an active member of my church and in the real estate community. My grandchildren keep me involved in the various schools (OP, Fenwick, and Trinity).
As to real estate, my philosophy is very simple:
